Starting a Small Business: Business Forms - Westlaw Database

New York Public Library Resources to help you navigate the process of starting and running a small business.

WestlawNext Patron Access

The Westlaw NextPatron Access database is an online legal research service designed especially for use in government, law, and public libraries. **Please read this resource's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy before searching.** It is available in the Business Center, the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, or by booking a virtual consultation with our librarians.

To find forms for your business, use the New York Form Finder -  New York Forms Legal & Business section of Westlaw. You must know which business forms you need before using Westlaw. Our librarians will help you navigate the database but cannot tell you which forms you need. Before visiting the Business Center or scheduling a virtual consultation, meet with a business advisor so that they can tell you which business forms you will need.

Here is a list of not-for-profit business advisors:

BOC - Business Outreach Center

CAMBA - One-on-One Business Counseling

Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project (NELP)

PACE University - Small Business Development Center

SCORE NYC - Find a Mentor

For additional business advisors, click here to be directed to the Counseling/Consulting section of the NYC Small Business Directory site.
