Basic Facts: How Do I Get Help with My Application?

The Trademark Assistance Center (TAC) of the USPTO is the main support center for all customers, from first-time filers to legal professionals and experienced trademark applicants and can answer your questions on a variety of trademark topics.
The USPTO has regularly scheduled webinars on a variety of trademark and patent topics.
- Trademark Basics Boot Camp is a comprehensive series of workshops that cover all aspects of applying for a U.S. trademark.
Trademark applicants can also find a Patent and Trademark Resource Center, pro-bono legal assistance, a registered trademark attorney or agent or law school clinics in New York or in the rest of the United States.
The Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project (NELP), an initiative of the City Bar Justice Center, provides low- to moderate-income micro-entrepreneurs with the legal services necessary to start their businesses. Subject areas include trademarks, as well as patents, copyrights, incorporation, tax issues, contracts and agreements and commercial lease negotiation.
