The General Research Division offers one-on-one virtual and in-person reference consultations. Researchers of all levels are welcome. Consultations include: catalog navigation, demonstration of online services and database (articles, abstracts etc.. ), as well as exploration of sources for a specific topic. Request Materials in Advance of your Visit
General collections are available to view without an appointment. However, we encourage patrons to request materials in advance of their visit to ensure availability.

Interlibrary Services and Document Delivery
Interlibrary Services provides access to materials held at libraries outside the NYPL system. Document Delivery enables a user with an exact citation to request scans of a small portion or chapter of a title. These scans will be emailed to the user.
