Formally known as Yom Ha-Shoah Ve-Hagevurah, or Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day, designated by the Israeli parliament in 1951 for the 27th of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar.
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising : April 19, 1943
The best-known of many Jewish uprisings against the Nazis, commemorated annually.
In-person commemoration to mark 80 years: Wednesday, April 19 at 3 PM at "Der shteyn" (the stone) between 83rd and 84th Street, Riverside Park, New York, NY.
Other dates: As shown in the example from the Wielun yizkor book here, remembrance events for specific communities may take place on or around the anniversary of a mass murder.
