Introduction to Economics: About

A layperson's guide to "the dismal science".

Economics is the study of how people, either as individuals or as groups, decide to allocate scarce resources to satisfy their needs and wants. This can be as basic as budgeting your monthly pay to as complicated as trade between nations.

Economics touches on many of today's issues such as health care, climate change, education, and industrial policy; this makes a basic knowledge of economics vital to understanding the most important issues of the day. Click the tabs above to learn more!
