Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Books

The Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Books division of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture provides access to primary source materials created by and about Black people. This page highlights personal papers of poets, records of poetry groups, and a selection of poetry books from our Rare Books collection. The lists below are not comprehensive and represent some highly used, rare, and influential items in our collections. Poets and poems can be found throughout many of our collections.
