This guide is intended for remote users of the research units of The New York Public Library, particularly the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building

The rich and varied collections of the New York Public Library's research and circulating collections are open to everyone.  This guide is intended to introduce you to the services you can access remotely when you cannot visit a research library in person.  A New York Public Library card is required, and your access to remote resources depends on where you live.  More information on obtaining a card is available at these links:
