Remote Research and Dance: About

This guide brings together the varied resources available to our patrons while conducting their research remotely.

About this guide

The New York Public Library offers a number of resources to patrons wishing to access materials who are unable to visit physical library locations. This is intended to be a comprehensive guide of resources related to dance, which includes NYPL's Digital Collections, databases, e-books, and many more!

New York state residents are welcome to apply for a library card through the SimplyE app—and gain access to an array of digital resources, including e-books, audiobooks, databases, and more. When we reopen, new applicants can visit their local library to obtain and validate their physical library card.

For any dance related questions please visit our Division webpage or email dance@nypl.org, and we will help in any way we can. We are also now offering virtual consultations to help with your research. Just visit https://libcal.nypl.org/appointments/lpa to set up an appointment.
