In Part 3 of the clipping file collection, which covers 1989 through the early 2000s, the clippings are in their original format and held in the Research and Reference Division's closed stacks.

How to Find Clippings for Part 3

You may view list of clipping files from Part III that have been cataloged here.

The clippings will appear in the catalog, listed by subject such as Apollo Theater (Harlem, N.Y.): clippings

To Request the clipping file, fill out a call slip indicating the title of the clipping file along with the call number Sc VF: Part 3. Once you have filled out the call slip, submit it to a staff member at the Page Desk.

Please note only approximately one-third of the clipping file subjects for Part III are visible in the catalog while the rest are not. You may view a fuller list of clipping file subject headings from an index to the files from Part III; and be advised that some of the subject headings have been revised since the index was last updated. For assistance with accessing these clipping files, please speak with a Librarian in the Research and Reference Division.
